A park for all in Mt. Pleasant.

The Amigos Park Coalition is a Mt. Pleasant non-profit community-based advocacy group that has been working diligently for eleven years to restore the space at the corner of Mt. Pleasant and Kenyon Streets NW as an open access public park. In 2023 the DC City Council officially named this site “Amigos Park”.

Our goal is to create a public plaza that will be a point of pride for the neighborhood. This is an opportunity for all of us in Mt. Pleasant to come together behind a project that will build unity and cooperation among neighbors. This new park will be a center for cultural events and community gatherings and, above all, a space to build on the incredible diversity that is part of the Mt. Pleasant fabric.
